To Empower Our Youth

Cecilia Montaner-Vargas Award
The Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County announces the opportunity for a Latina/o graduating high school senior and for a Latina/o nontraditional student to be awarded a scholarship totaling $800. This scholarship is to be used towards any future academic or occupational training program.
Interested students must complete all sections of the attached application. Instructions for applicants and the deadline are listed below.
ELIGIBILITY - The Latino Civic Association will consider:
• High School student - Latino/a senior in good academic standing, who demonstrate community service involvement and who are graduating from any Tompkins County school district at the end of the 2019 school year; and
• Nontraditional student - Latino/a who demonstrate community service involvement and who is returning to school, whether for an occupational training program or for college.
