Naturalize NY Any US green card holder (legal permanent resident) who is eligible for U.S. Citizenship, is a resident of the State of New York and meets certain income requirements can register and win a voucher to cover application costs. . The program is to help serve New Yorkers who face economic obstacles to becoming naturalized citizens.

Our office is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible residents have the opportunity to register and vote. We are committed to keeping you aware of changes to the Election Law and how those changes affect voting in Tompkins County. The Tompkins County Board of Elections will meet on the first and third Thursdays of every month at 10:30 am. The public is invited to attend.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The Tompkins County Office of Human Rights (OHR) is a department of the County charged with providing civil rights enforcement and outreach programming. We handle complaints of discrimination in housing, employment, lending, public accommodation, and education.
